Bishop’s Beach in Homer, Alaska is a popular year-round spot. Why? It never looks quite the same on any given day. Kachemak Bay is lined with glaciers and distant, looming volcanoes on the horizon, and the shore is full of life. I love this painting because of the chance to focus on the many colors, textures, and features that make this world-class spot on the Alaska beach so magic.
