Rainshadow

Up near Glacierview, Alaska there are hikes with views unique and spectacular to this relatively tiny corner of the state. Yes, it’s in a rainshadow, and that’s part of it – you can reliably go here when everything else is socked in to get your vitamin D. But the other part is the unique colors and textures in these mountains, that are difficult to access yet incredibly rewarding for the intrepid hiker. Don’t want to walk straight uphill?
