Giclee printing is a technique that meticulously and accurately represents the original painting through dots – many, many dots. “Giclee” means “to spray” in French. I work with Shane Lamb Studios in Palmer, Alaska to reproduce the original paintings using the most high quality and accurate process available (and a very fancy and enormous inkjet printer), which is what brings you these paintings.
Some folks balk at the price for a reproduction, and I get it! I use this process on an as-needed basis so that the print is true to the original painting, and to keep your dollars local in Alaska. Let me know if you are interested in one of these prints and we can talk pricing. I priced these out to encompass the giclee process and the original hours that went into creating the painting, but the prices are not firm and I’d be happy for prints to land in the right hands!
