Description
When I left Alaska a part of me worried I wouldn’t be able to access the sense of vastness and awe so readily available to me up there. Southern Utah reassures me I have nothing to worry about, and that’s just one of many landscapes I have yet to experience. This painting is set in Canyonlands National Park and the name a reference to the “trail” – a route traversing massive sandstone features marked only by discreet cairns – but the feeling I had while painting it is universal to anyplace we as humans feel tiny. In a good way.
12”x12”, painted canvas edges for a 3D effect, eyelets/wire fixtures installed and ready to hang.
