I get to use a lot of colors when I paint, but I do play favorites. That favorite is magenta. Yes. Magenta. I’m always shocked when I see that bold, in your face, next-to-unnatural hue out in the wild, because it just seems too out there. But what a perfect place to have that sighting, Nevada’s fabled and incredibly vast Black Rock desert. I loved painting this.
